Blogging Blastoff Course: Review
August 1, 2019 the first day of Heather and Pete’s “Blogging Blastoff Course” for August. Every month Heather and Pete offer their “Blogging Blastoff Course” and like me I see the hope and the hesitancy as people wonder “is this too good to be true.” I thought it would be apropos to share my experience.
It has actually been awhile, since I last posted on my blog, but today as I sat down to type up some handwritten notes, I came across this from almost two years ago, November 2017.
November 2017
I can’t recall the number of times I sat down to journal, writing is a comfort and a release it comes naturally. In grade school I would sneak into the library, during recess. No matter what was going on in my life, God gave me a love for reading and writing and books and writing were cathartic.
In my early 20’s I transitioned to trying my hand at writing story’s, I had so many ideas. I would start out strong, but then I would get lost with what to do next, and it all just felt so overwhelming. What would the next chapter(s) be like? I didn’t have the tools to feel confident, and my stories would go dormant. I didn’t have any foundation.
Later, I tried blogging the intent was to motivate me to lose weight sharing my journey. Again, I didn’t have the tools to know what I was doing, it is embarrassing to say but I thought all I had to do was set up a gmail account with Google, and journal in one of their programs and wallah a blog. I don’t have to tell you that there is way more to it than that, by the way 20+ years later I still haven’t lost the weight.
Another writing idea fell by the wayside, fast forward a couple of decades and I come across a Facebook Ad for “It’s a Lovely Life’s” 5 Day Fast Track to Blogging mini-course and it was FREE, it was like water in the dessert. I still had the writing bug inside of me I just didn’t know where or how to start.
We all get into blogging for different reasons, my reason was to escape from a highly stressful job, cater to my passion for writing, and one day become successful enough to quit my job. I found myself desperately and endlessly searching Indeed.com… or playing the lottery looking for some way out of the rat race that I was in I knew it was time for a change.
Those five days changed the course of my life. I am a long way from where I want to be, but it has become about more than an escape it has become a beacon of light, an outlet and hope for a better and brighter future.
If you are on the fence about the “Blogging Blastoff Course” take the The 5 Day Course. It convinced me so much that in September of 2017 I launched Myroadmystory.com.
Blogging Blastoff Course: Value for your Money
I have to admit I have spent a lot of money on different programs: exercise programs, meal replacements, diet pills, and yes even business ideas. Most of them were funnels to suck you in to spend even more money, and left you feeling broke and let down, so I was hesitant to invest in Heather and Pete’s “30 Day to Fast Track Blogging.” Would this be another scheme that promised you enough information to get started, but was just a way to draw you in to yet another program or course?
To be honest I couldn’t even fathom where or how I would come up with $249.00, but where there is a will there is a way, so every dollar and coin that came my way I would put aside into a jar. It took several months. I was giddy and terrified at the same time, I was worried that I would be disappointed and I wasn’t sure I could do another disappointment.
At the time that I wrote this journal I was on day 19 of the program and I was blown away with ALL of the information that was in the course. If blogging was as easy as sitting down and just typing up a post no one would need a course, even if you want to blog for fun, setting up your website can be a HUGE hurdle. I’ve seen WordPress bring even millenials to their knees.
If you are like me, and love to write and would love to write and make money from your writing prepare yourself there is so much information out there. I didn’t even know you could let alone how one could make money from blogging. A lot of other programs give you just enough information to pique your interest, but to be successful you have to purchase something else, and something else and so on. Heather and Pete don’t do that their course gives you more than enough information to be successful.
I can’t stress enough that there is a lot that goes into blogging, before you start you will need a course that provides a solid foundation, “It’s a Lovely Life’s” Blastoff Course provides that and more, and more importantly it did not leave me hanging.
If that isn’t enough Heather and Pete also offer a 10 K challenge that helps you to begin building your audience via social media for Free, but that isn’t all there is also their “Start a Money Making Facebook Group. It’s a great place to learn, and share your blogging journey with other new and seasoned bloggers. I met all of my Blogging Buddies in that group everyone is incredibly helpful, and there is more a WordPress Facebook Group, with an expert in WordPress whom is very responsive, and believe me if you are not techy you will need it.
As of November 19, 2017 we were averaging a little over 500 views a month. We have a long ways to go to get to our target, but if someone had told us years ago that we could get that many visitors to our website, just starting out, I wouldn’t have believed it.
In September 2017 My Road My Story will be two years old. In that time I have written quite a few posts. I’m a slow but persistent learner, I’ve waffled back and forth on my niche, but I continue to keep my website active, because I love writing one day I will find MY sweet spot.
So the question: Was it worth it ? Yes it was and is worth every penny. I know that money can be tight, I have been there, but before you type up that post asking Why it has to cost so much consider this: Do you go to work for free? Of course you don’t so why do expect that Heather and Pete should.
This is a quality course that I’m sure probably took months, and they have to pay to host it at teachable.com. They had to pay for the Facebook Ads, let’s not forget the 10+ years of on the job training. There is A LOT to learn in blogging, and it can be a steep learning curve. This course will help give you a solid foundation.
I have bought other courses on SEO, pinterest etc.. since then and to be honest none of those have I utilized, let alone felt as confident with the information and results as I have with Heather and Pete’s course.
I hope that this has been helpful.

Great post! I’ve enjoyed much of the Reese’s free content and their FB group, but I’m waffling about taking the course. This review makes it easier for me to make up my mind!

I absolutely agree with you! I took Heather and Pete’s course at the beginning of 2018 and it was one of the best investments I made. It’s a wonderful course for anyone who needs instruction and guidance to start a blog the right way.

Good Day, I saw Heather & Pete’s Blogging Ad almost a year ago. It took me 6 months to design my blog website and have a post for each category I wanted. I found the 10K challenge too fast for me, however, their facebook groups are the best. You deserve kudos because of preserving your goals of writing. Best wishes.

Hi Joyce,
It is a lot of work and I still have so much to learn, but for me their course was and still is invaluable
